Biography
Henry Alline, born at Newport, Rhode Island, was an itinerant preacher throughout Maritime Canada and northeastern New England, but is particularly associated with Nova Scotia: the third edition of his Hymns, and Spiritual Songs (Dover: Samuel Bragg Jr., 1797) contains 488 hymns, although the last of one these is not by Alline himself, and is marked 'By B.R.'.
