In me cresce la voglia, in voi 'l desire,
in me cresce la fede, in voi l'amore,
io cerc' il vostro ben, voi del mio core
cercat' alleviar ogni martire.

Si vostr'anim' adonqu'è si conforme
perchè quella dolcezza, alma bontade
perder vogliam' in cosi verd' aetade?

Deh vita mia, prima che'l tempo ne fuga
mitigamo l'ardor che non ci struga
e com' habian conforme il bel desio
cosi s'unisc'il vostro pett' al mio.
