List of choral works
Anthems
Blessed be the Lord God
O my God, deliver me from my enemies
Therefore being justified by faith
Set-pieces (through-composed settings of verse texts)
Awake, my harp and lute
Hark, a voice divides the sky
High let us swell the tuneful notes
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing, bid us all depart in peace
O for an overcoming faith
Thou sweet flowing Kedron, by whose silver streams
Hymn tunes
Alas! and did my Saviour bleed
Almighty Father, gracious Lord
Awake our souls, away our fears
Behold, the grace appears
Broad is the road that leads to death
Children of the (your) heavenly King
to the tune Praise , from The Companion to the Pilgrim
to the tune Deliverance , from A Third Volume of Original Sacred Music
Come, all harmonious tongues
Come and let us sweetly join
Come, happy souls, approach your God
Come on, my partners in distress
to the tune Exhortation , from The Companion to the Pilgrim
to the tune Pilgrim , from A Third Volume of Original Sacred Music
Come, sound his praise abroad
Come, we that love the Lord
Eternal power, whose high abode
Great God, attend while Zion sings
Great God of wonders! all thy ways
Hear what the voice from heaven proclaims
Jesu, lover of my soul
Jesus, our holy Lord
Jesus, the word of mercy give
Jesus, thou sovereign Lord of all
Let me but hear my Saviour say
Lift up your eyes to the heavenly seats
Lo, he comes with clouds descending
to the tune Triumph , from The Companion to the Pilgrim
to the tune Infinitude , from A Third Volume of Original Sacred Music
Lord, how delightful 'tis to see
Lord, we raise our feeble voices
Not all the blood of beasts
Now for a song of lofty praise
O bless the Lord, my soul
O come, thou radiant morning star
O every one that thirsts, draw nigh
O love divine, how sweet thou art
O love, thou bottomless abyss
O what amazing words of grace
O world of bliss, could mortal eyes
Raise your triumphant songs
Shrinking from the cold hand of death
Sweet is the work, my God, my King
The fountain of Christ, Lord, help us to sing
The Lord my pasture shall prepare
They are blest, and blest for ever
Thou dear Redeemer, dying Lamb
Thou whom my soul admires above
We hope ere long beyond the clouds
Welcome, sweet day of rest
When all thy mercies, O my God
When some kind shepherd from his fold
When the great Builder arched the skies
When, O dear Jesus, when shall I
to the tune Naomi , from The Companion to the Pilgrim
to the tune Desire , from A Third Volume of Original Sacred Music
Worship and thanks and blessing
Ye nations round the earth rejoice
