Biography

His first name is not given in the Eton Choirbook MS 178 from which his sole remaining composition is found. Professor Magnus Williamson thinks he may be John Sygar: conduct, King's College, Cambridge, 1499-1501 and 1508-1514 (who copied music for the chapel in 1500, 1508 and 1511).
