La lune, dans sa robe rose pâle, s'élance joyeusement
par-dessus le mur du verger,
pour rejoindre les étoiles.
Belle Dame, veillez sur tous les voyageurs cette nuit,
 qu'ils soient bénis par votre calme baiser.

English translation

The moon, in her pale rose dress, joyfully throws herself
over the orchard wall,
to rejoin the stars.
Beautiful Lady, watch over all travelers this night,
that they may be blessed by your calm kiss.
