let us seek the manger's side,
where the Son of Man was born.
Hail! All hail! Emmanuel!

2. Perfect man! Eternal God!
Ruler of the boundless skies,
there a weak and lowly child,

3. Without speech, yet Counsellor;
in a manger, yet a King;
Natural, yet Wonderful;
let our glad Hosannas ring.
