Now join we all to praise Thee this joyous New Year’s Day,
for all Thy many blessings which drive our cares away.
We thank Thee, that we meet here at this glad festal time
with gracious mercy laden and lasting peace sublime.
That free and undefeated the old year we completed,
to Thee in deep devotion would be ever near;
preserve us soul and body thro’ out the coming year.
