O give thanks unto the Lord,
Let them give thanks,
whom the Lord hath redeemed,
and deliver'd from the hand, from the hand of the enemy.
For he hath broken the Gates of Brass,
He hath brought them out of Darkness,
and the shadow of Death,
and deliver'd them from their distress.
O that men, wou'd therefore praise the Lord, for his goodness,
and declare the wonders that he doth for the children of men;
That they wou'd offer unto him the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and tell out his works with Gladness.
