Description: First published in The Village Compilation, 1806, p. 43. Words by Isaac Watts, 1709, his Hymn 169 of Book 2. Goff used the fourth stanza of Watts' hymn in his composition, except for the last two lines Goff has "Join all my powers To serve the Lord" for Watts' "Join all my powers And praise the Lord."
