Description: Psalm 134 is one of the Psalms appointed for Compline. This edition includes the setting of Psalm 134 as found in The Whole Booke of Psalmes (1621), with text by William Whittingham (c.1524-1579). The first verse is set in unison to the Short Metre tune Southwell, the second verse to the Martin Peirson (alias Peerson; c.1571-c.1651) harmonization (melody in the Tenor) from The Whole Booke of Psalmes, and the final verse to a harmonization by Charles H. Giffen.
