Isten! pogányok jöttek örökségedbe, megfertőztették szent templomodat, őrkunyhóvá tették Jerusalemet.
Szolgáid holttestét eledelűl adták az égi madaraknak, szenteid húsát a föld vadainak.
Véröket mint a vizet ontották Jerusalem körűl, és nem volt, ki eltemesse.
Gyalázattá lettünk szomszédainknak, nevetséggé és csúfsággá azoknak, kik körülünk vannak.
Meddig haragszol, Uram, egészen? fölgerjed-e, mint a tűz, boszankodásod?
Öntsd ki haragodat a pogányokra, kik téged nem ismernek, és az országokra, melyek a te nevedet nem hítták segítségűl,
mert megemésztették Jákobot, és az ő helyét elpusztították.
Ne emlékezzél meg régi gonoszságinkról, hamar előzzön meg minket a te irgalmasságod: mert igen szegények lettünk.
Segíts meg minket, szabadító Istenünk! és a te neved dicsőségeért, Uram, szabadíts meg minket; és légy kegyelmes bűneinknek a te nevedért,
