English translation
Who do people say the Son of man is?
Responding, Peter said to him:
You are the Christ, son of the living God.
And Jesus said to him:
You are blessed, Simon Bar Jona,
for flesh and blood have not revealed to you,
but my Father, who is in heaven.
And I say to you,
that your name is Rock, and on this rock
I will build my church.
Peter, do you esteem me highly?
Responding, he said:
You know, Lord, that I love you,
and I lay down my life for you.
And Jesus said: Feed my sheep.
For I have prayed for you,
that your faith may not fail:
and when you have turned again,
strengthen your brethren.
Alleluia.
