Born 30 December 1977

Biography

Richard Quesnel graduated from Cambridge University in 1998, and has subsequently passed the Agrégation de musique (Ministère de l'Education nationale) and the Diplôme d'Etat in choral direction (Ministère de la Culture). Based at the Académie de Musique et d'Arts Sacrés de Sainte Anne d'Auray (Morbihan, France), he has been the choral director of the Maîtrise de Sainte-Anne d'Auray since its foundation in 2000. In 2009, he was made a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Diplômé de l'université de Cambridge, Richard Quesnel est titulaire de l'Agrégation de musique et du Diplôme d'Etat de direction d'ensembles vocaux. Au sein de l'Académie de Musique et d'Arts Sacrés de Sainte-Anne d'Auray (Morbihan), il assure la direction des choeurs de la Maîtrise de Sainte-Anne d'Auray depuis leur création en 2000. En 2009, il est promu au rang de Chevalier des Arts et Lettres par le Ministre de la Culture, Mme Christine Albanel.
