Description: Ferd. Sieber (1822-1895) wrote many vocalises and solfeggios for preparing the voice. Including Opus 93 with 36 monophonic vocalises with piano accompaniment. Some choirs may start each rehearsal with a vocalise by Sieber. They are simple, but beautiful, fun and thoughtful 8-bar pieces. And also very instructive for many a choir member to learn harmonic feeling. So I took the experiment to write a phantasy, based on Ferd. Sieber opus 93. Of course there were some snags. If you want to give of the all voices one of the melodies, they must be transposed, and then also fit into a reasonable key scheme based on 7 contiguous movements, ending as you begin. After all, the musical form has to be right.
