English translation
- Heaven, open your gates,
- Lord, we pray you, come to us.
- Come, our most mighty Lord,
- Merciful Saviour of the people.
- Let Heaven drop dew on us
- When our hearts yearn.
- You gates of Heaven, open,
- That the Redeemer may come.
- Why, Lord, do you still delay?
- Have you ceased to love us
- Come, pardon and give strength
- That the Father may console us all.
- People, do homage to the Lord
- And remember eternal life,
- For God Himself has heard you
- As the Redeemer has come.
