English text
by James Hayes
The Gladness the triumph of Easter we sing.
To Christ be the honours as Victor and King.
So may Alleluias resound as we praise,
The Conqu'rer of evil in these joyful days.
His sacraments bringing His new life of grace.
His dying, our living, regardless of race.
So may our pray'rs strengthen our souls for the fight,
to send forth Christ's Kingdom as children of light.
Great Father in Heaven, Pure Father of light.
Thine Angels adore Thee, All veiling their sight.
All praise we would render, Oh help us to see
T'is only the splendour of light hideth Thee.
