En ce joli mai gracieux, savoureux   et amoureux Où nobles amours se rassemblent, J’ai trouvé m'amie au lieu tant joyeux,   solacieux, Où notre amour recommençâmes, Ma douce’amie, auprès du joli, joli jonc Où notre amour recommençâmes. Sur le joli joli jonc, ma douce amie, Sur le joli joli jonc nous ébattons.

English translation On the jolly jolly grass, my soft sweet love, And on the jolly jolly grass, we have our sport.
