The voice of the Lord in the cool of the day
Came resounding thru the garden of Eden.
So they hid themselves away from the presence of the Lord:
and thru terror of that presence were they hidden.

The Lord called to Adam saying “Where art thou?”
“When I heard the Lord God calling in the Garden.
“I was naked”, Adam said
“So I hid myself away in the fear
that thou wouldst not forgive nor pardon.”

“Who told thee thou wast naked?”
the Lord God said
“Hast thou eaten of the tree I had forbidden?”
“The woman that thou gavest me.
She gave me of the tree,
and I’ve eaten of the apple in the Garden”.

Then God said to the woman
“What is this thou hast done?”
“I did eat it thru the Serpent’s dark beguiling”.
“Because Serpent thou did this.
On thy belly shalt thou go.
Before all cattle cursed for thy defiling.

Dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life
and enmity between ye both shall harden;
For the seed of woman henceforth shall bruise the Serpent’s head”;
So did say the Lord our God in Eden’s Garden.
