As is the rose that bar Jhesu.
Alleluya.

For in this rose conteyned was
Heven and erthe in lytle space.
Res miranda.

Be that rose we may weel see
There be one God in personys thre.
Pares forma.

The aungelys sungyn the sheperdes to
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gaudeamus.

Leve we al this werdly merthe
and folwe we this joyful berthe.
Transeamus.

German translation

Keine Rose ist tugendhafter
als die Rose, die Jesus gebar: Halleluja.

Denn in dieser Rose fanden sich Himmel
und Erde vereint: Res miranda.

Diese Rose offenbart uns die Dreifaltigkeit
des einen Gottes: Pares forma.

Weltliche Freuden hinter uns lassend
wenden wir uns dieser freudigen Geburt zu: Transeamus.

English translation

There is no rose of such virtue
