Edition notes: The alto and tenor parts are printed in the alto and tenor clefs respectively in the source. Only the first verse of the text is given in the source: the other two verses given here have been added editorially, on the basis of the heading 'Verses 1st 4th and last' in the source. The source contains a fully written-out keyboard accompaniment: with the exception of the first note, which is given here in the bass part, this accompaniment doubles the keyboard parts throughout, and has been omitted from the present edition.
