Hello Dan, the text of your "Christe Jesu, pastor bone" by Taverner reads "Elizabetham Angliae regin'''ae''' serva". Are you sure about this? I can't seem to make sense of it. It would be easier to read "reginam", which would translate neatly into "save Elizabeth, Queen of England". Thanks for looking. The line "Et Elizabetham nostram Angliae reginae serva," matches my O.U.P. score and the recording and booklet from The Cambridge Singers album "Treasures of English Church Music." Clifford Barlett and John Rutter have translated the line, "Preserve Elizabeth our Queen of England." | |||

Thanks for looking. The line "Et Elizabetham nostram Angliae reginae serva," matches my O.U.P. score and the recording and booklet from The Cambridge Singers album "Treasures of English Church Music." Clifford Barlett and John Rutter have translated the line, "Preserve Elizabeth our Queen of England."
