Wasn't sure if there was something more you meant to do regarding [[Request:Lamentations_a_5_(Robert_White)|this request]], or if it can be changed to indicate it's Completed. Thanks! -- [[User:Vaarky|Vaarky]] 07:32, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

seems we're interested in some of the same composers!

 Help

Thanks for your recent Mundy edit, and Robert White too. Sounds like we are interested in some of the same composers.

If you're inclined, I'd love to hear about particular Renaissance motets you especially like in case I haven't sung them yet, and I'd be happy to mention some of my favorites if you're intd. Some day, CPDL will have a rating system for pieces, that says "Other users who rated the Kellyk GFV similarly to you also liked X, Y and Z." :)

Thanks for the suggestions you posted on my talk page. I recently tried the Brumel Lamentations and really appreciate the recommendatios--a lovely piece. Continuing to work my way through your list...

Ditto the Obrecht Salve R a 4, which I finally had a chance to sing--thanks again for the recommendations!

URL for Lassus Veni in Hortum?

 Help

Thanks for contributing the Lassus Veni in Hortum. The link takes me to another site and I didn't see the score there. Did you intend to paste a different URL or am I overlooking the score? The link would need to change to extpdf if linkink directly to a PDF offsite, or net if linking offsite to a URL that's not directly the PDF. Is that the link you intended to post?

Saw your note on my talk page that this was fixed, thanks! -- Vaarky 23:46, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Dow Partbooks and other Renaissance choral collections

  • Posted by: Vaarky 23:45, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
 Help

I've created a category for Renaissance choral collections and a new page for the Dow Partbooks. I'll create a page for the Gyffard Partbooks at some point too, unless someone beats me to it.

I'd appreciate if you can look over any of these pages, esp. the Dow Partbooks since you seem especially familiar with it. Please correct any errors you might spot or expand as you deem appropriate. Some of the red links may be red simply because the title doesn't match exactly how the work appears on CPDL--I'm confused about the Johnson and Taverner Dum Transissets, for example. Thanks for any help you can provide.

 Help

Thanks for taking a look at the Dow Partbooks page. The edition of it you recently ordered must be gorgeous! It looks like someone has recently put up an edition of the Robert White Lamentations a 5. Looking forward to any upcoming editions of this or other works you may post (esp. the Parsons O bone Jesu, for which there is no CPDL version yet). As always, thanks for your contributions.

2 discussions you might be intd in

Hi, Edward--

If you haven't already chanced across them, there are two discussions taking place that you might be interested in:

Palestrina Mags

Hi there,

Nice to see these appearing! I'm not sure my move of Magnificat quarti toni, Book 3 a 6/7 (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina) is the ultimate improvement, but see what you think of the outline I've started on the composer page. Next I'll try to Tom Sawyer you into Lassus Mags. ;-) Richard Mix 04:16, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

An editor's editions...

Hi Edward. Many thanks for all your excellent score contributions. I was just reading the section above and your reply to Richard Mix ... it would be great indeed to get our hands in the Lassus Magnificats! While at present we have no way to keep track of the actual number of editions contributed by an editor, there is, for each CPDL editor an automatically generated list of score pages with an editor's contritutions. Yours is at Edward Tambling editions, and you might wish to replace the {{Whatlinkshere}} link on your user page with something like {{CiteCat|Edward Tambling editions|Works with editions contributed by this editor}} or simply {{CiteCat|Edward Tambling editions}}. Thanks again! – Chucktalk Giffen 12:59, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi both! I notice signed cleanup tags are included, so my 'editions' are slightly over-counted by this method. ;-)

White's Lamentations a 5vv is complete, right?

Wasn't sure if there was something more you meant to do regarding this request, or if it can be changed to indicate it's Completed. Thanks! -- Vaarky 07:32, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
