Vox dilecti mei: ecce iste venit saliens in montibus, transiliens colles.
Similis est dilectus meus capreae, hinuloque cervorum.
En ipse stat post parietem nostrum respiciens per fenestras, prospiciens per cancellos.
En dilectus meus loquitur mihi.
English translation
The voice of my beloved! Look, he comes, leaping upon the mountains, bounding over the hills.
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag.
Look, there he stands behind our wall, gazing in at the windows, looking through the lattice.
My beloved speaks to me.

De stem van mijn liefste!
Kijk, daar komt hij,
springend over de bergen,
huppelend over de heuvels.
Als een ree is mijn liefste,
als een hertenkalf.
