English text
Mark 16:1 When the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Mark 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Luke 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
Luke 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
Luke 24:4 While they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:
Luke 24:5 And as they were affrighted, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
Luke 24:6a He is not here, but is risen.
Ye children of the light,
Arise with Him, arise!
See how the Daystar bright
Is shining in the skies!
Leave, in the grave beneath,
The old things passed away,
Buried with Him in death,
Oh, live with Him today.
We sing the Lord Divine,
With all our hearts and powers!
For we are ever Thine,
And Thou art ever ours.
Amen.
