Biography
William Whittingham was an English Protestant minister: during the reign of Mary I
, he went into exile in mainland Europe, joining congregations in Frankfurt and Geneva. Several of his metrical versions of the psalms are included in The whole book of psalms, later known as the 'Old Version'.
