English translation On Ascension Day (poetic) O Lord, you rule sublime for all eternity, above all praise and majesty. Hallelujah! (more literal) O Lord, above all praise, all majesty, all glory, Thou reignest forever and ever, Hallelujah! (rhythmically faithful) Exalted beyond any earthly praise, and above all majesty, Lord and King for evermore, Hallelujah!
