Biography

Arthur Baynon was born in St. George-Brandon Hill, Bristol, Gloucester, England, and trained at Bristol Cathedral School and the University of Bristol. He was music-master at St. Clement School, Truro, Cornwall; organist at St. Michael’s College, Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire; director of music at Caterham School, Surrey; and organist-choirmaster of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, South Croydon, London. He died in Caterham. His compositions include organ pieces, piano pieces, anthems, part-songs, and songs.
