Latin text Ecce ego mitto vos sicut oves in medio luporum; estote ergo prudentes sicut serpentes, et simplices sicut columbae.

English translation Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doves.
