Biography Known under his fulgent pen name, Folgore's baptismal name and that of his father can be gleaned from municipal records of his native San Gimignano and near-by Siena. A document of 1332 already refers to heirs of "Domini Folgoris".
32 sonnets in Tuscan dialect are attributed to him, written around 1308-1316. The most famous ones are the corone dedicated to the days of the week and the months.
