Henry Bird Collins

Life

Born: 13 June 1870, Ipswich

Died: 19 January 1941, Bromsgrove

Biography

English composer, author, musician, and music editor. Organist and later choirmaster at the Birmingham Oratory in the early 20th century succeeding William Sewell. He was a major editor of Renaissance music particularly Palestrina, Victoria and Tallis in the 1920's and 1930's.
