Biography

Louis Casper Jacoby was born in New York City. He studied at the Conservatory of Music, New Brunswick, New Jersey, giving his first piano recital in 1874. He was organist at Grace Chapel, NYC, at Middle Dutch Collegiate Church, NYC, and was a founder of the American Guild of Organists. He was conductor of the Bayonne City Philharmonic Society, New Jersey. He died in Manhattan, NYC. He composed a number of church works, piano pieces, and carols.
