Peter Le Huray (in Music and the Reformation in England 1549-1660) says (p.384) "The music [of Tye's The Actes of the Apostles] was rescued by the Victorians and provided with alternative texts, the most popular being 'Come, Holy Ghost, eternal God' and 'O Lord, thy word endureth', but it is of no great distinction."
