O Lord our Lord, how marvellous thorough all the world
so wide is thy great name most glorious, praised on every side.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

Thy glory and magnificence, and thy great majesty,
surmounteth all intelligence above the heavens high.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

In tender mouthes of infants young thy praise thou hast so wrought
that the venger and en'my strong thereby do come to nought.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

When I behold the heavens high, the work of thy right hand,
the moon and stars so decently in order how they stand,
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

Then muse I, Lord, what thing man is whom thus thou dost behold,
and Adam's seed to visit this with gifts so manifold.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

But little he is inferior to God in dignity,
for thou hast crowned him with honour and clothed him in glory.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

Over thy works thou hast elect him Lord and governor.
All things to him thou hast subject under his feet and power.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.

All kinds of beasts in their natures, as oxen, horse and sheep:
all droves and herds in their pastures, to him they bow and creep.
O Lord, our Lord, how marvellous is thy great name most glorious.
