German text  Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir, Herr Gott, erhör mein Rufen. Dein gnädig Ohr neig her zu mir und meiner Bitt es öffne.

English translation Out of the Deep I cry to Thee, Lord hear me I implore Thee. Bow down thy gracious ear to me and let my prayer come to Thee.
