In his Opus 5, Legrenzi offers settings of Psalms that are ordained for Festal Vespers, namely: Psalm 109 (Dixit Dominus), 110 (Confitebor), 111 (Beatus vir), 112 (Laudate pueri), 115 (Credidi), 116 (Laudate Dominum), 121 (Laetatus sum), 125 (In convertendo), 126 (Nisi Dominus), 127 (Beati omnes) and 147 (Lauda Ierusalem).
- • Psalm 109, 110, 111, 112, 115 are sung at the Feast of the Holy Name and at Martyrs’ Feasts.
- • Psalm 109, 110, 111, 112, 116 are sung at Christmas, Pentecost and Trinity Sunday (all 1st Vesper), at Ascension Day (both Vespers) and its following Sunday, and at the Feasts of Apostles, Evangelists and Confessors.
- • Psalm 109, 110, 111, 112, 147 are sung at the Feast of a Church Dedication.
- • Psalm 109, 110, 115, 127, 147 are sung at the Feasts of Corpus Christi (Vesper 1+2) and of the Sacred Heart (Vesper 2).
- • Psalm 109, 112, 121, 126, 147 are sung at Epiphany, at the Feasts of the Circumcision and of the Holy Family, at Feasts of Female Martyrs, and at Marian Feasts.
The Psalms are framed by settings of the Invitatorium and of the Magnificat, that are sung at the beginning and near the end of each Vesper.
