French text Sur tous regrets le mien plus piteux pleure Jetant soupirs transperçants mon las coeur Car j'ai perdu l'amiable liqueur Que tant je plainds et plaindrai en ample heure.

English translation Of all desires, mine most pitifully cry, Piercing my wretched heart, forcing a sigh, For having lost all that might satisfy, My lot I loudly do and shall decry. Translation by Thomas Daughton
