Biography
(summary) Thomas Attwood Walmisley was born in London, son of organist and composer Thomas Forbes Walmisley and studied under studied under his godfather Thomas Attwood and trained at Cambridge. He was Professor of Music at Cambridge and held organist positions at Croydon Church; Trinity College, Cambridge; and St. John’s College, Cambridge. He died in Hastings. His compositions include services, anthems, odes, chants, responses, hymns, songs and part-songs.
