Welcome!

Hello Renato and welcome to CPDL! Thank you for submitting your editions of works by Michael Praetorius. I have created a user page for you at User:Renato Calcaterra. In order to better facilitate communication, some users make their email addresses available on their user pages. However, this isn't mandatory. If you have any questions or problems, feel free to leave a message on the forums or on my talk page. Thanks again! --Bobnotts talk 11:21, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Voicings for multiple choirs

 Help

Hello Renato, and welcome! Let me add my own thanks for your excellent Praetorius editions. There is only one minor point about voicings for multiple choirs: for example, instead of SSAT-ATTB (as in Laudi pueria 8), the voicing should by typed as SSAT.ATTB - so that the work is properly registered in the voicing category SSAT.ATTB. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Once again, thank you for editing these Praetorius works.

Canzon Trigesimaterza per 8 tromboni (Tiburtio Massaino)

Hi Renato. I've just noticed your contribution, above. It seems that this work is scored for 8 trombones and does not contain any vocal lines. Is this correct? We don't host instrumental works at CPDL so if there are no vocal lines, I'm afraid we'll have to remove it. Please let me know. --Bobnotts talk 14:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Alessandro Grandi

Thanks a lot for all these interesting works of Grandi! May I ask what is your source for your editions? --BjoernsothmannTalk Email 11:04, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Link ai manoscritti originali

Salve Renato, per curiosità ho provato a seguire il link al manoscritto originale presente sul pdf del Kyrie della Missa cucu caricato oggi, ma non funziona. Forse richiede un login? Max a.k.a. Choralia 16:23, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Composer page - Surname last

 Help

Thanks for your many valuable contributions! May I ask that when you create a Composer page, would you please title it with the Surname last, e.g. Gianpiero Manenti (not Manenti Gianpiero)?

Also, please do not replace {{NameSorter}}, since the function of that template is to set the DEFAULTSORT correctly (it automatically moves the last word in the page title to the beginning, so that if the last word is the Surname, then it sorts correctly). Only when the Surname consists of more than one word, such as Ralph Vaughan Williams, should {{NameSorter}} be replaced (including the surrounding double braces); thus,

{{DEFAULTSORT:Vaughan Williams, Ralph}}.

These little things will make the work of administrators a lot easier and result in the composers appearing in the proper place in various lists and catalogs. Once again, thank you so much for you early music scores!

Vllate - Tant que vivray

Hi, I am curious about this mysterious composer "Villate". Especially the song Tant que vivray, which is exactly the same as the one by Claudin de Sermisy here. Do you have more information about this? Thank you very much. --Fffred 03:16, 23 November 2011 (CST)

Page renaming

Ciao Renato! Whenever you need to correct a page's title (as occurred recently with Vivo ego dicit Dominus), you can do it yourself by using the "move" tab on top of every page. If you are not confident about doing it, just ask one of the admins, or add {{Rename|new title|reason}} at the top of the page. It's usually better than creating a duplicate page.
