Yōkoso

Hello, welcome to CPDL! Congratulations for being the first Japanese composer represented on this site, and thank you for your recent contribution. Best regards, —Carlos Email.gif 07:26, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi, thank you for adding the Gloria Patri to LinkText and for the other textual corrections. Best, —Carlos (talk) 15:34, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Date format

Hi Nobuaki, I noticed that you've updated some of your works; I took the liberty to change the date format used, because "140608" is somewhat dubious (it can be 8 June 2014, or 14 June 2008, depending on each country's custom). Regards, —Carlos Email.gif 16:18, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi Carlos, sorry for my long silence, and thank you for correcting. I will be careful now on. Best regards, —Nobuaki Izawa (talk) 10:26, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

SortWorks

Nobuaki, as someone who has added several works recently, you may well have noticed that we've been making changes recently to the composer pages. The main purpose of these is to automate, as far as possible, the creation of a properly sorted list (or lists) of works on the composer page. We've also removed the file links on the composer page because experience has shown that, if contributors update the files on the works page, they often fail to update the composer page, leading to a mismatch of files. Although this is still very much work in progress, I'd be interested to have any feedback, positive or negative, that you may have on the changes.Jamesgibb (talk) 09:03, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry that my reply is late. Honestly, I need not only an alphabetical list, but also a cross-sortable table. However, I thought I'd better go along with other composers, so I applied the SortWorks template to my composer page. --Nobuaki Izawa (talk) 16:07, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello Mr Nobuaki, I took the liberty to move the sortable list of works to your editor page. Other editors have done similarly before (see for instance user:Robert Nottingham and user:Philip Legge), so I hope that solution will be fine with you. Kind regards, —Carlos (talk) 03:54, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi Carlos, and thank you for your help. I will add new works to my editor page from now on. --Nobuaki Izawa (talk) 04:38, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

I don't think you should feel compelled to adopt SortWorks if it doesn't suit you. Dead composers need managing; we can usually rely on live composers to manage themselves! However, there may be features of SortWorks that could be useful. For example, it is easy to sort by Sacred/Secular, by language, or by various subcategories. So if you could say a bit more about what you mean by a cross-sortable table, I'd be happy to suggest ways that this might be managed. Jamesgibb (talk) 15:06, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
