Latin text 23:7  Tollite portas, principes, vestras, et elevamini, portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ. Advent gradual adds 23:3  Quis ascendet in montem Domini? Aut quis stabit in loco sancto eius? 23  Innocens manibus et mundo corde. Christmas offertory adds 23:1  Domini est terra et plenitudo eius: orbis terrarum et universi, qui habitant in eo. 23:2  Ipse super maria fundavit eum et super flumina praeparavit eum.

English translation 24:7  Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors: and the King of glory shall come in. Advent Gradual adds 24:3  Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? 24:34a  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart.
