Ne vocatis me Naemi, sed vocate me Mara. 2. Parole 1 Pater, dimitte illis: non enim sciunt quid faciunt. Crucifixerunt Jesum et latrones, unum a dextris et alterum a sinistris. Jesus autem dicebat: Pater, dimitte illis: non enim sciunt quid faciunt. Cum sceleratis reputatus est, et ipse peccata multorum tulit, et pro transgressoribus rogavit. 3. Parole 2 Hodie mecum eris in paradiso. Domine, memento mei, cum veneris in regnum tuum. 4. Parole 3 Mulier, ecce filius tuus. O quam tristis et afflicta fuit illa benedicta mater unigeniti ! Quis est homo, qui non fleret, Christi matrem si videret in tanto supplicio ? Quis posset non contristari, piam matrem contemplari dolentem cum filio ? 5. Parole 4 Deus meus, ut quid dereliquisti me? Noti mei quasi alieni recesserunt a me et qui me noverant obliti sunt mei. 6. Parole 5 Sitio! Dederunt ei vinum bibere cum felle mixtum. Et milites acetum offerentes ei, blasphemabant dicentes: Si tu es Rex Judaeorum, salvum te fac. Popule meus, quid feci tibi? Aut in quo contristavi te? Responde mihi! Quia eduxi te de terra Aegypti: Parasti crucem Salvatori tuo. 7. Parole 6 Consummatum est. Peccata nostra ipse pertulit in corpore suo super lignum ut, peccatis mortui, justitiae vivamus. Vere, languores nostros ipse tulit, et livore ejus sanati sumus. 8. Parole 7 Pater, in manus tuas commendo spiritum meum. Pater meus es tu, Deus meus. French translation 1. Prologue Ô vous tous qui allez par le chemin, attendez et voyez s'il existe une douleur semblable à la mienne. Celle qui me fait si mal, celle que le Seigneur inflige au jour de son ardente colère. Ne m'appelez pas Noemi [Ma-Gracieuse], appelez-moi plutôt Mara [Amère]. 2. Parole 1 Père, pardonnez-leur, car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font. Ils crucifièrent Jésus et les larrons, l'un à droite et l'autre à gauche, et Jésus au milieu. Jésus disait: Père, pardonnez-leur, car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font. Il a été compté avec les criminels, il a porté les péchés des foules et en faveur des transgresseurs il est intervenu. 3. Parole 2 Aujourd’hui tu seras avec moi au paradis. Seigneur, souviens-toi de moi, quand tu viendras dans ton royaume. 4. Parole 3 Mère, voici ton fils. Oh ! qu'elle fut triste et affligée cette Mère bénie du Fils unique ! Quel homme ne pleurerait en voyant la mère du Christ endurer si grand supplice ? Qui pourrait, sans profonde tristesse, contempler la pieuse mère du Christ souffrir avec son Fils ? 5. Parole 4 Mon Dieu, pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné ? Mes connaissances comme des étrangers s’éloignent de moi et ceux qui me connaissaient m’ont oublié. 6. Parole 5 « J’ai soif ! » Ils lui donnèrent à boire du vin mélangé avec du fiel. Et les soldats lui présentant du vinaigre, blasphémaient disant: « Si tu es le roi des juifs, sauve-toi toi-même ». Mon peuple, que t’ai-je fait ? Ou en quoi t’ai-je attristé ? Réponds-moi ! C’est parce que je t’ai conduit hors de la terre d’Égypte que tu as préparé une croix pour ton sauveur ! 7. Parole 6 Tout est achevé. Il a porté lui-même nos péchés dans son propre corps sur le bois afin que, morts à nos péchés, nous vivions pour la justice. Or, ce sont nos infirmités qu’il a portées lui-même, et par ses blessures nous avons été guéris. 8. Parole 7 Père, en tes mains je remets mon esprit. Tu es mon père, mon Dieu. Défenseur de mon salut, en tes mains je remets mon esprit.

English translation 1. Prologue See now, all that pass here, you that pass by the roadway; behold me now, look up on me: is there sorrow that is like my sorrow? For the Lord has chastened me and has grieved me: He has left me all the day in sorrow. Do not call me now, Noemi (most pleasant); rather call me now Mara (bitter). 2. 1st Word Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. They crucified him, and two thieves, one on the right, the other on the left, but then Jesus said of them: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. With the transgressors they considered him; He took offenses of many on himself, and made intercession for the sinners. 3. 2nd Word This same day you will be with me in paradise. All our transgressions he himself did bear in his own body, even to the tree, that we all might die to sin and live again to virtue. Truly, he bore our grieving in himself, and by all his scourging we are made healthy. 8. 7th Word Father, to Thine own keeping I now commend my spirit and my life. German translation 1. Prolog O alle die ihr des Weges kommt, merket auf und schauet, ob je ein Schmerz wohl meinem Schmerze gleichet. Er hat mich, o Herr, einsam gemacht und voll Trauer den ganzen Tag. Nennt mich nicht Noemi (d.h. lieblich), sondern Mara (d.h. bitter). 2. 1. Wort Vater, vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun. Sie kreuzigten Jesus und die Übeltäter, einen zur Rechten und einen zur Linken, Jesus aber sprach: Vater, vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun. Er ist unter die Übeltäter und hat die Sünden vieler getragen, und selbst für die Missetäter hat er noch Fürbitte getan. 3. 2. Wort Heute wirst du mit mir im Paradiese sein.
