And wrap thee in thy silken plaidie.

Haste ye, haste, my bonnie bride!
O bride, O haste, and do not fear, nor falter;

And tryst wi’ me before the altar.

Be ye blithe, my bonnie bride,
O be ye blithe, and sing, and sing fu’ cheerie;
O be ye blithe, my bonnie, bonnie bride,
For evermore thou’lt be my dearie.
