English text
The sun is setting in the west,
The birds have sung their evening lay;
The dewdrops deck the sleeping flowers,
And shadows haste to close the day.
The twinkling stars smile from the skies,
The moon-beams kiss the silvery stream;
The fairies dance among the flowers,
And night in splendor reigns supreme.
The blush of morn proclaims the dawn,
The lark trills forth its glad refrain;
The glorious sun mounts to its throne
And fills the earth with joy again.
