Biography

Eremita (a family name) worked as an organist in Rome for Cardinal Luigi d’Este (Marenzio’s employer) from before 1576 until at least July 1581. Anthologies of the 1580's as well as his own publications suggest a connection to Ferrara, but little else is known.
