Alias: Juan Navarro of Seville – Unrelated to the Juan Navarro of Cadiz (Gaditanus) who published a book of Passions in Mexico.
Life
Born: circa 1530
Died: 25 Sept 1580
Biography
First reported 1549 at Marchena as a tenor under Morales ; appointed maestro de capilla at Valladolid (1562), Avila (1564, he probably taught Victoria there), Salamanca (1566 until a physical altercation with a singer New Year's Eve 1573), Ciudad Rodrigo (1574) and Palencia (1578 till his death).
