Original text and translations may be found at Lamentations of Jeremiah. Lassus divides the 9 Lessons differently than LU, as follows: Lamentations 1:1-6; 7-11; 12-16; 2:8-12; 13-18; 3:1-12; 22-33; 4:1-7; 5:1-16.
The 2 added verses at the end of Thursday Lectio III are:
Latin text 1:15 SAMECH. Abstulit omnes magnificos meos Dominus de medio mei; vocavit adversum me tempus ut conteret electos meos. Torcular calcavit Dominus virgini, filiae Juda. |
English translation SAMECH. “The Lord flouted all my mighty men in the midst of me; he summoned an assembly against me to crush my young men;
the Lord has trodden as in a wine press the virgin daughter of Judah. |
