Biography
English Baroque composer, floruit 1720s - 1750s. Psalmodist of Castleton, Derbyshire. Nothing is known of him beyond the three editions of his psalmody (1727 - 1753) (Nicholas Temperley, "The Music of the English Parish Church"). Robert Barber I is an English Renaissance composer.
