Latin.png Latin text

Sedentem in telonio
verbo vocat y doneo,
Christus Mathaeum nomine,
quod recolitur hodie,
ut in corda fidelium,
funderet Evangelium.

English.png English translation

[To him] sitting in the tax collector's booth,
with one word Christ both called and gave
Matthew that name,
recalled today
in the hearts of the faithful,
by which he would spread the Gospel.
