Editorial notes for ed. Kouhia (2025)
The edition is based on "Sekaäänisiä lauluja", booklet 20, Kansanvalistusseura, Jyväskylä 1924 (3rd edition, original: 1907).
Edition notes:
- The music is laid out on four staves instead of the original three,
- Modern beaming is employed, with chords instead of up/down stems.
- B bar 4 bass dynamics after crescendo: in original: "p". This is interpreted as an error, corrected as "f".
- Barline after bar 7: in original, "fine" barline, in this edition typeset as a "section" barline.
- Fermata in bar 18: original has the fermata for S&A on the following barline but on the rest on T&B. Moved the fermata to the rest on S&A.
- Final hairpin: in original, crescendo for S&A, descrescendo for B. Interpreted as decrescendo for all.
