General Information

Title: The Last Supper
Composer: Joseph Knapicius
Lyricist:

Number of voices: 3vv   Voicing: TTB
Genre: SacredLiturgical music

Language: English
Instruments: Piano

First published: 2021
Description: For five part male ensemble + piano The melody is Christe Redemptor Omnium, I moved it to the parallel minor. The harmony is after Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings. You will need a thirteen voice male ensemble, (or just one on a part then you only need five) have the men stand around the piano as if it is a table, basically it’s the story of the last supper. You could add table cloth on the piano if you wish, "make it look like" "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci.

Solo Tenor (Jesus)
Solo Baritone (Judas)
Counter-Tenor(s) (Disciples)
Tenors (Disciples)
Basses (Disciples)

Judas:
Surely not I Lord? Oh Lord, who is it? Surely not I?
Disciple(s):
Surely not I Lord? Oh Lord, who is it? Surely not I?
Jesus:
Divide it among you,
This is my body, given for you,
Remember me, Remember me, Remember me.
This is my blood poured out,
This for many, for forgiveness of sins,
Drink from it, all.
Remember me, Remember me, Remember me.
